There has been real encouragement in the partnerships St Anne's is growing with the schools in our parish.

Our links with Chasetown Community School have been strengthened by our partnership with Burntwood Youth for Christ whose worker, Gareth Willimson, has been mentoring and listening to students at the school.  Building to this we have hosted two special 'Messy Church' events for students from the school and Richard was again asked to be involved with their Christmas assembly.

Springhill School welcomed a team from St Anne's to lead an Easter Workshop and Richard was welcomed to lead a monthly assembly during 2017.

Erasmus Darwin Academy (EDA), have been positive about our developing partnership with them.  Richard was invited to give a series of assemblies and also has been involved with RE lessons during the year.  During the snow in December 2017, EDA had to rearrange their Carol Service at short notice, and it was great that St Anne's were able to host them.

During the Autumn of 2017, St Anne's applied for a grant from the Resources Parish Mission Fund of Lichfield Diocese to help with some of our work with children and young people.  Early in 2018 we heard that this application had been successful.  The funds received from the Diocese will be matched by a donation made to St Anne's in memory of Anne Turfrey, so that we can start an after school youth club at St Anne's and continue our work with Chasetown Community School.

Thank you all who have been involved with our work amongst children and young people, and with our schools, including everyone who has prayed for many years for this important work.
